Dominican-American singer-songwriter Yovanna Ventura officially begins a new chapter in her musical career with the release of “Come Over,” the first single from her upcoming debut EP.
Blending alternative pop, contemporary R&B and Latin influences, “Come Over” is an intimate and sensual record about surrendering fully to desire, the longing to feel someone physically, emotionally and completely. Through warm melodies, honest lyrics and a cinematic atmosphere, the song explores a connection that feels both deeply passionate and enduring, moving from physical intimacy toward the desire to remain together until the end of time.
“Come Over is about wanting someone completely, their closeness, their touch and the feeling of being so connected that you want it to last forever. It’s sensual and intimate, but underneath that physical desire there’s also a longing for devotion and permanence,” says Yovanna Ventura.
Accompanying the release is a music video filmed in the Dominican Republic, where Yovanna reconnects with her roots through the country’s landscapes, colors and unmistakable energy. More than simply serving as a backdrop, the island becomes an extension of the emotional and visual universe she is creating throughout this new musical era.
The video also introduces a collection of recurring visual symbols that will continue to unfold throughout her upcoming debut EP. Her natural curly hair represents authenticity, freedom and embracing her identity, while additional elements from the project’s visual language will be revealed across each release.
Set for release later this year, Yovanna’s debut EP is a five-song visual and musical journey inspired by the idea of revealing what often goes unspoken. Through stories of love, desire, heartbreak, healing and self-discovery, the project invites listeners to embrace vulnerability as a source of strength and authenticity.
Each song represents a different emotional chapter while remaining connected through a cohesive visual identity inspired by Yovanna’s Dominican roots, spirituality and personal evolution. Yovanna Ventura is a Dominican-American singer-songwriter creating music in both English and Spanish, blending alternative pop, R&B and Latin influences with deeply personal songwriting.
Having written songs since childhood as a form of expression and connection, Yovanna spent years independently developing her sound through songwriting, production and creative exploration before collaborating with artists, songwriters and producers. She also studied music production, allowing her to shape every aspect of her artistry—from songwriting and production to the visual identity behind each release.
