Born in Managua, Nicaragua, Rolando Escobar is a musician and cultural manager who has dedicated his life to salsa and the dissemination of Afro-Latin music. From an early age she fell in love with singing, percussion and orchestra, performing on stages such as the National Theater of Nicaragua and receiving multiple recognitions for her artistic contribution.
His versatility has led him to perform salsa, guaracha, boleros and cumbias, as well as to experiment with innovative fusions such as the Salsa Meet Jazz project, which integrates the strength of salsa with the sophistication of Latin jazz.

Mr. Salsa has proudly represented Nicaragua at prestigious events, such as the 8th Street Carnival in Miami, where he captivated audiences with his energy and charisma performing hits such as “Suenan los Tambores” and “Nicaragua Mía.”
In addition to his facet as a performer, he has developed a successful career as a DJ and manager of renowned figures of Latin music, musicalizing events and directing cultural projects.
Currently, he directs his radio program “El Show Picante”, broadcast through KKUP 95.1 FM from San Jose, California, reaching audiences in the United States, Puerto Rico, Central America, South America and Europe.
