CHRISTMAS FOR SALE is the new single by Roberto Tola, an intimate jazz ballad dedicated to Christmas, available on all music platforms.
Christmas, as we all know, is a time of celebration, a time of shared joy, especially for children. It should therefore be the celebration of happiness, of lightheartedness, of bright colors, a time when families come together and exchange smiles, affection and gifts.
However, there is another side to the holiday, that of those who live in conditions of suffering, helplessness, loneliness and poverty.
It is essential that Christmas is celebrated, a right for everyone, and especially for the little ones.
With his new song, Roberto Tola wants to dedicate a thought to these people who, for various reasons, find themselves in dramatic situations. Whether it is due to extreme weather events( as recently happened in Spain or Grenada Islands), illnesses or the loss of loved ones – be they parents, siblings, friends – or for those who flee from wars and conflicts in search of a better life, Christmas can be transformed into a time of prayer and hope.
There are people on the other side of the world who, finding themselves in profound loneliness, would “sell” their Christmas for those who can instead enjoy it. For them, the holiday often becomes inappropriate, a burden to bear while they face serious difficulties. In these cases, each of us can make a difference, contributing in our own small way to help these defenseless and vulnerable souls.
Let’s rejoice at Christmas, but let’s always remember to turn our hearts toward the other side of the world.
“Christmas for Sale” is an invitation to reflect on these realities and to transform our celebration into a gesture of solidarity.
