Regional music has a new story to tell and a new talent that continues its rise nationally. “Tu Traición”, a composition by Pipe Trujillo and Ciro Quiñónez, is the new single by an artist who turned a painful experience into the engine of his career.
With lyrics that narrate the infidelity experienced in the flesh during his school years, “Tu Traición” is more than a song: it is an emotional release. The story begins with the impact of the deception, but evolves to reach a message of overcoming and learning. What used to hurt, today is only ashes. That is the essence of this single, which is born from the depths of the heart.
“With this song everything was born. It’s a story that taught me to grow up, without that infidelity, maybe I would never have written my first song. I called Ciro Quiñónez —a friend gave me his number— and he helped me finish composing and make my dream come true.
I definitely thank him for the sadness he caused me, thanks to that today I live what I always wanted: to sing,” says Pipe Trujillo
The song was produced and mixed by the renowned Sigi Salazar, with mastering by Gabriel Rodríguez, adding technical quality to a powerful and authentic story.
The video clip of “Tu Traición” was recorded in Bucaramanga under the direction of the experienced Oscar Gutiérrez, recognized for his work with Mexican artists such as El Mimoso.
With a Texan aesthetic, sober and direct, the video faithfully portrays the story behind the song: a love that appeared to be sincere but that hid a betrayal.
The narrative shows how, over time, the protagonist overcomes pain and becomes a recognized artist, while the one who betrayed him regrets having lost him.
The locations chosen for the recording were: Discoteca Delirio, Mi Tierra Llanera and Discoteca La Tremenda, all in Bucaramanga.
The audiovisual production was made in a single day, managing to accurately capture the contrast between idealized love and harsh reality.
“Tu Traición” is now available on digital platforms, and with it, Pipe Trujillo opens a new chapter in regional music.
A sincere, intense proposal full of truth.
