As part of the celebration of his first five years of musical career, Colombian singer-songwriter Pepe Guerrero presents a fresh and modern version of “La Ladrona”, a song immortalized by Argentine musician Diego Verdaguer, which now takes on new life with the artist’s unmistakable voice and style.
With a particular sensitivity to connect with stories that speak of love and passion, Pepe Guerrero felt identified with the poetic force of this song.
“La Ladrona is a powerful metaphor about desire and surrender. Talk about how a woman can ‘steal’ your heart with her mere presence. That intensity caught me,” explains the singer-songwriter.
True to his essence as a composer of real and emotional stories, Pepe Guerrero wanted to reinterpret this classic with a contemporary sound proposal, without losing the emotional honesty that characterizes the original theme.
“I like how special and sincere the song is. I felt that I had to give it a new air, as a way to pay tribute to those artists who left their mark and who continue to inspire to make music that lasts,” he says.

The video clip of “La Ladrona”, directed by Alexis Pino, was shot in Medellín and is a visual proposal full of aesthetics, sensuality and elegance.
Through a different and enveloping narrative, the feminine magnetism that Pepe Guerrero admires so much is represented, who assures that the class and sensuality of a woman are qualities that awaken her artistic creativity.
With a career on the rise, Pepe Guerrero has positioned himself as one of the most prominent voices in regional Colombian music.
His authentic style, which fuses tradition and modernity, has led him to occupy prominent places in the lists of Monitor Latino in Colombia and Ecuador, as well as to be nominated for important musical awards nationwide.
The release of “La Ladrona” not only marks a new air in her career, but also reaffirms her commitment to roots music, told from a young, current and deeply honest perspective.
