Lucía Jirau – A Versatile Puerto Rican Singer-Songwriter
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised in Caguas, Lucía Jirau began developing her musical abilities at an early age. At just nine years old, she joined the Caguas Children’s Choir and later studied classical singing at the Caguas School of Music.
As a singer and songwriter, Lucía explores different musical styles, including salsa, bolero, romantic ballads, merengue, and pop. Her artistic versatility allows her to move naturally between different genres while maintaining her own musical identity.
In 2025, she presented her first EP, Amor y Sabor, featuring four original songs that showcased her songwriting and musical creativity.
International Recognition
Lucía’s musical achievements include recognition at the 2026 InterContinental Music Awards, where she received an award in the Tropical Salsa category for her original composition “Salsa Hasta Que Amanezca.”
