Juan Pablo Barrios Salsa Latin Jazz – La Prieta

The Venezuelan musician, percussionist, composer and director Juan Pablo Barrios presents his new record production entitled “With more Salsa” with his ensemble “Salsa Latin Jazz”, born in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, begins his percussion studies in the Conac workshops dictated by Orlando Poleo, in turn, he studies the Timbal with Maestro Alfredo Padilla and his academic studies are carried out at the Pedro Nolasco Colón and José Reina conservatories in Caracas Venezuela.

Juan Pablo is part of the Orchestra, Germán Medina’s Koymbre, Venezuela Canela Orchestra, Naty and his Orchestra, Cesar “albóndiga” Monge and his gang, Andy Durán Latin Jazz, Enrique “culebra” Iriarte and his Sonora, Porfí Jiménez and his Orquesta, Billo`s Caracas Boys among others, as well as he has also done work for La Orquesta Filarmónica de Venezuela in the percussion ranks.

He participated in accompaniments for national and international artists such as; Vladimir Lozano, Estelita del Llano, Nancy Toro, Ely Méndez, Ismael Miranda, Cheo Feliciano, Pete ”El Conde” Rodriguez, Larry Harlow among others.

His previous materials:! Vengo Con Todo !; Downloading; In the harvest and Again; For this new material, he uses his characteristic fusions of Latin Jazz with harmonized tropical music for the dancer.

Nine are the themes that complete this exquisite and fresh musical proposal. The piano in this material uses a peculiar sound and therefore better oriented in the mixing and arrangements of the material, great harmonic gifts are perceived from beginning to end, all the material plagued with a flavor of forceful and determining rhythms.
