
Helen Fabelo, known as “La Traviesa de Cuba,” has released her debut solo album, “Contigo.” This album stands out for its versatility, encompassing genres such as salsa, bolero, ballads, salsa fresh, rumba, and timba. One of the album’s most notable collaborations is “La Rumba,” which features renowned singer Mayito Rivera.
Fabelo, born on January 20, 1996, in Havana, began her musical studies at the age of 8 at the Guillermo Tomás Conservatory, specializing in piano. She later graduated in Choral Singing from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in 2019. Throughout her career, she has been a member of the Cuban National Choir and the Entrevoces Chamber Choir, participating in international festivals and competitions in Europe and Latin America. In 2022, she joined the Elito Revé y su Charangón orchestra, with which she has toured various countries and recorded songs such as “Son mi Barrunto” and “Pensaste Mal.”
The album “Contigo” reflects Helen Fabelo’s artistic maturity, fusing traditional Cuban rhythms with contemporary influences. Songs like “Llévame Contigo,” which earned her recognition as Super Latina of the Year 2023 and Breakthrough Artist, stand out for their emotionality and performance quality.
