After the success achieved with ‘No puede ser cualquiera’, a song with which he ventured into the romantic side within his concept of salsa with purpose, Héctor Olmo presents a new work that combines tenderness and nostalgia, without losing sight of the importance of honest and meaningful lyrics.
‘Quiero tener te’, a co-authorship between Olmo himself and Winston Biur, is configured as an intimate portrait of those who experience the absence of a loved one.
Through its lyrics, the song explores the fear of losing and the difficulty of letting go of what once represented full happiness and joy. The strength of the composition lies in the contrast between the beauty of the memory and the sadness for what has been lost.
“We seek to touch deep fibers, betting on a style that combines romanticism in salsa with a retro air, consolidating its own sound identity, coherent with our message,” Olmo explained.
‘Quiero tener te’ presents a love that, although distant, remains alive in the memory and becomes a constant presence, as a declaration of eternal surrender to the feelings experienced.
Héctor Olmo’s interpretation, recorded at the Segarra Music studio, stands out for its sincerity, without pretensions or exaggerations, which adds authenticity to each verse.
