Santiago de Cali, Colombia (August 28, 2025) – With more than two decades of experience in Afro-Antillean music, Colombian singer and composer Gerley returns with an intense and deeply emotional offering.
His new single, “Duele Amar,” of his own writing, is set to captivate lovers of romantic salsa with a story of passion, betrayal, and conflicting feelings.
The official audio release will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, on all digital platforms, while the music video—shot with a carefully crafted narrative and visual approach—will premiere on YouTube on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:00 p.m.
A Career Forged with Passion and Perseverance
Gerley has been a member of renowned salsa groups such as Sandunga, La Fuga, La Suprema Corte, and La Bronko de Venezuela.
As a solo artist, she debuted in 2006 with her album Íntimo, followed by La Conquista (2011) and Emergiendo (2015), collaborating with legends such as Tony Vega, Wichy Camacho, Pedro Brull, Jerry Rivas, José Alberto “El Canario,” Aymee Nuviola, Alex Matos, Andy Montañez, Alexander Abreu, and Daniela Darcourt, among others.
Throughout her career, she has delivered hits such as “Ella Merece Ser Feliz” (with Alexander Abreu), “Quiéreme Un Poco Más” (with Amara Rodes), and “Promesas Rotas” (remixed version with Daniela Darcourt), always with fresh offerings that fuse classic and modern salsa styles.
