DJ Ernesto – “Fly Me to the Moon”

Santo Domingo, Rep. Dom.

The classic immortalized by Frank Sinatra, known as “The Voice”, takes on new life in a surprising and vibrant version by the Saorín Martínez dynasty. Father and son, Alejandro and Andrés Saorín Martínez, reinterpret “Fly Me to the Moon” in a risky encounter between the elegance of the swing of the 50s and 60s and the festive energy of Caribbean rhythms.

“We wanted to pay tribute to Sinatra’s legacy without renouncing our Latin roots,” explains Alejandro Saorín Martínez. “Our goal was to build a sonic bridge where the sophistication of traditional jazz dialogues with the warmth and flavor of Caribbean music.

” Andrés Saorín Martínez adds: “For me, this project meant proving that music does not understand ages: swing and salsa can dance together under the same star.”
The prestigious DJ Ernesto joins the project by bringing a contemporary vision. His production work transforms the classic piece into a modern cut, where the arrangements of congas and timbales encourage the listener to let themselves be carried away by the salsa cadence without losing the original swing.

“It was a fun challenge to mix big band samples with Latin rhythms; the result is a feast of contrasts that sounds fresh and timeless,” says Ernesto.

This version of “Fly Me to the Moon” is presented as a true generational and stylistic dialogue: a tribute to the past and a nod to new audiences. The single will be available from July 1 on all digital platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and more.
