Dan H. Bonesteel, affectionately known as Mr. Dan, is a Christian songwriter for children. His greatest passion is to help build God’s Kingdom here on earth by letting his light shine for Jesus and to glorify God through his music.
He has written many songs over 20 years that he sings for preschoolers in his local church, and several have become the children’s favorites!
“Baby Jesus In A Manger” came as a gift directly from God. Mr. Dan was babysitting a neighbor’s baby by the name of Christin. She started to cry, and he picked her up in hopes of calming her down.
He began singing a song, and this song’s first verse came blurting out as a lullaby! Did she stop crying? Well…no, but through that experience, “Baby Jesus In A Manger” was born.
Mr. Dan is a retired professional computer developer and photographer. He is a family man who married his college sweetheart and has two beautiful daughters and three incredibly amazing grandchildren.
