Conciencia Clásica – “Se Acabó El Café (feat. Pipo Pica)”

San Juan, PR. (September 16, 2025) – Conciencia Clásica, the acclaimed Salsa/Rock orchestra, announces the release of their new single, “Se Acabó El Café, Con Intro (feat. Pipo Pica).” The song, now available on all digital platforms, is a bold work that transcends music to become a powerful statement about the endemic corruption plaguing Puerto Rico.

“Se Acabó El Café” is not just a song; it’s a modern parable. Through the search for a cup of coffee, the song uses a biting metaphor to illustrate how corruption has deprived the people of their most basic resources and corroded the island’s social fabric. The song, an innovative fusion of salsa and rock, incorporates the iconic melody of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell,” transforming a hard rock anthem into a Latin-infused rallying cry.

The song portrays Pipo Pica’s morning odyssey as a metaphor for the systemic obstacles facing the Puerto Rican people. With lyrics by Raúl Eliza that denounce corruption and social deterioration, the work becomes a call to conscience and reflects the feelings of those who have had to emigrate in search of a dignified future.

Pipo Pica’s participation brings authenticity and historical depth to the project. Recognized for his musical career with the New Swing Sextet and for his work as a lawyer, his interpretation of Chanito Isidrón’s “Intro” enriches the song’s message of social condemnation with a unique and powerful perspective.

The musical arrangement, a masterful combination of vibrant rhythms and contemporary sounds, is the collaborative work of a team of top-notch musicians. Emanuel Navarro Huertas (arrangement and percussion) and Jan Freytes (horns) led the production, with Arian Viglietti on lead vocals, accompanied by the legendary Pipo Pica. The talented team includes Carlos García (piano), Jacob Ortiz (bass), Adrian Arroyo (drums), and John Medina (electric guitar). The horns feature Jesus Alonso and Angie Machado on trumpet, and Eliut Cintrón on trombone. The backing vocals, which elevate the energy of the piece, are led by Tanicha Lopez, Antonio Hernandez, and Pichi Gaetán.

“Se Acabó El Café, Con Intro” is a work that combines salsa tradition with bold, contemporary lyrics. It is an invitation to reflection and a call to action, resonating with the lives of Puerto Ricans both on and off the island, demonstrating that music can be a powerful vehicle for social change.
