Formed in the summer of 2024 in Austin, Texas, Combo Chévere is a young salsa ensemble founded by Víctor Cavazos, bringing together musicians with a shared passion for the rich traditions of Latin music.
The group’s sound combines the spirit of old-school salsa with a fresh and contemporary approach, incorporating elements of salsa brava, timba, jazz, and funk. Their music reflects the energy of the Austin Latin music scene while keeping the danceable character and rhythmic tradition of salsa at its heart.
