Christopher Sánchez is a Dominican-born baritone based in New York whose musical journey brings together his Caribbean heritage, Latin jazz, and classical opera.
With Latin Jazz Meets Opera, Sánchez creates a distinctive meeting point between two musical worlds, combining the expressive tradition of opera with the rhythms, melodies, and spirit of Latin jazz.
His music reflects a connection between his Dominican roots and his life and artistic development in New York, resulting in a project that celebrates both his classical training and his passion for Latin music.

Released in May 2026 on Zoho Music, Latin Jazz Meets Opera is Christopher Sánchez’s debut album as a featured recording artist.
The 11-track album explores a wide range of material, bringing together opera arias, Latin classics, jazz standards, and contemporary interpretations. The project also features soprano Jazmine Saunders, who joins Sánchez on several selections.
Throughout the album, Latin rhythms and jazz instrumentation are combined with operatic vocals, creating a musical dialogue between classical and Latin traditions.
