Willy Calderón brings a fresh contemporary approach to “Hay Que Saber Comenzar,” revisiting a classic associated with the legendary Cuban charanga orchestra Orquesta Aragón.
For this new version, Calderón combines elements from the original Orquesta Aragón recording with inspiration from the version performed by Roberto Roena y Su Apollo Sound. He adds his own musicianship on piano, bass, and percussion, creating a vibrant blend of Cuban and Puerto Rican musical traditions.
Released in September 2026, “Hay Que Saber Comenzar” connects the sound of classic Latin music with a modern production, while highlighting Calderón’s versatility as a percussionist, pianist, and producer.
