Acclaimed artist Ponceńo Fernandito Rentas continues his prolific 2025 with the release of his latest single, “SUÉLTALA,” a vibrant cumbia with which he joins the celebration of Colombia’s Independence.
This new song, which premieres on Friday, July 18, 2025 on all digital platforms, marks the 17th musical project in Fernandito Rentas’ career as an independent artist and promises to conquer Latin music lovers.
“SUÉLTALA” is a composition by Maestro Robert Requena, who was also in charge of the arrangements with the outstanding Colombian pianist, Carlos Andrés Olaya Holguín (Chiki). The song also features the outstanding collaboration of renowned percussionist, Maestro Caliche Salgado, who adds a special touch with authentic Caleńo and danceable flavor to this festive Cumbia.
“SUELTALA” is a musical expression with a deep respect, affection and admiration for Colombia made into a song. This project, which will be published in September 2025, is an emotional tribute to the city of Santiago de Cali, Colombia, known as the “Capital of Salsa” and “The Branch of Heaven”.
