Rumba Calzada – Feel The Sun


Rumba Calzada’s countless performances, festivals, tours and sold-out shows in Canada, USA, Malaysia and the Philippines have set a standard for authentic Latin jazz and salsa music.

Originally formed in 1991 by Boying Geronimo and now fronted by his son, Raphael Geronimo, the band has recorded four albums with a variety of nominations, including a Juno Award (2002 World Music Album of the Year), Westcoast Music Awards (2002 Outstanding World Record of the Year) and Canadian Independent Music Awards (2002 Best Overall Album).

In 2008, the band performed at the Borneo Jazz Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia, and was voted “Crowd Favorite” to return in 2009.
With airplay and media acclaim around the world, including Montreal, Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Malaysia and Manila, Rumba Calzada is gearing up for more shows and recordings, with an album completely new planned for 2022.

Canada-based Rumba Calzada brought down the house with their eclectic mix of Latin, salsa and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
