About Aji Picante Radio

Aji Picante Radio is an independent, non-commercial online radio station broadcasting Latin music 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to listeners around the world.

Founded in 2014, Aji Picante Radio began its first broadcast on November 19, 2014. As an independent, community-based, nonprofit station, it is dedicated to celebrating Latin Jazz and Latin music as an important part of American art and culture.

Our mission is to preserve the rich musical heritage of Latin music for future generations while promoting Latin Jazz artists and highlighting their contributions through our program La Hora Picante.

Aji Picante Radio reaches listeners worldwide through internet streaming, multiple listening platforms, and mobile applications. Our audience spans more than 115 countries, including the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, Austria, France, Turkey, the Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and countries throughout Central and South America.

Our musical selection includes Latin Jazz, Salsa, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Baladas, and much more.

The Founder

Aji Picante Radio was founded by Hugo Navarro, who launched the station’s first broadcast on November 19, 2014. He continues to lead the station, overseeing its development and its commitment to sharing Latin Jazz and Latin music with listeners around the world.
